Rule 1 taught you to understand before you act. Rule 2 asks: who are you acting for? The ego defaults to self-interest — it calls it survival, ambition, common sense. But service isn’t sacrifice. It’s leverage. When you orient your actions toward others, you stop competing with the world and start building with it.
This rule doesn’t ask you to be selfless. It asks you to be strategic about where your energy goes. The ego hoards. Service compounds. The people who build the most lasting power are the ones who figured this out first.
